OUR VISION - 58 yEARS YOUNG
The Hofstein family have been hotel operators and restauranteurs throughout Asia since 1957. For 5 years the Hofstein Brothers were in joint-venture with the Peninsula Hotel & Miramar group, supplying meals for aviation catering until they sold their interest to Swire pacific Catering in 1967.
Since then, the company has diversified into the more refined areas of specialised gourmet food products, while keeping its catering interests alive. As a regional operator, Silco's principal market is Hong Kong, where it holds a significant market share in the supply of fine foods to superior hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants, supermarket chains & aviation.
The hub of all operations is in Tokwawan - a convenient location from which to manage the logistics of distribution. Most of Silco's fine foods are imported by air, as well as by sea, requiring daily presence at Chep Lap Kok Airport.
Silco's partners give more breath and scope enabling them to undertake trade-related activities in Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwai & the Far East
